Galley Maid Deck Equipment  is manufactured with the high quality and reliability that marks all Galley Maid equipment. All models feature triple chrome plated bronze above deck hardware. Models MA, AA, and BB have the capstan and deckplate above deck with the gear box, motor, and switch controls below deck. Models MAW, AACW, and BBHW are equipped with capstan, wildcat, clutches and deckplate for above deck installation and gear box, ,ptpr, and motor controls for concealed below deck location.

All Galley Maid vertical windlasses except Model MA and MAW are available in any standard marine DC voltage 12, 24, and 32 volts.  These units are also available with motors and controls for AC service in 120 or 240 volts, 60 cycle single or three phase, also 50 cycle single or three phase.  Models MA and MAW are available in 12 volts DC only.

All DC models, except MA and MAW feature a complete control package consisting of the following:  Heavy duty corrosion resistant aluminum enclosure, motor overcurrent protection in the form of a heavy duty single purpose circuit breaker of appropriate size and rating, control circuit overcurrent protection, motor  overheat protection, single terminal strip wiring to ease installation, prewired controls are supplied for reversing or non reversing models, remote master on/off switch to prevent accidental winch operation, and one or two (as required) foot switches with complete mounting hardware for a waterproof installation.  AC models feature aluminum control panel with appropriate controls for the particular model of windlass.

WARNING:Galley Maid windlasses are intended for raising or lowering the anchor or pulling the vessel toward a dock ONLY.  Other uses such as towing the boat, pulling the boat when aground, or allowing the boat to remain secured to the windlass while at anchor are extremely dangerous and not authorized.  Miss use of the windlass can result in serious bodily injury, death, severe damage to the vessel or all of the above.  The windlasses are not to be used to lift people, tow the boat, hold the boat at anchor or other unauthorized purposes.  A chain stopper must be installed on every installation using chain.  If chain is not used a suitable cleat or Sampson post must be installed to secure the anchor line while at anchor.

GALLEY MAID SMALL BOAT VERTICAL WINDLASSES, available in 12 VDC only, 2 1/2" deck blocking, control soleoid and waterproof switch. Wildcat available for 1/4" chain.

Galley Maid Warping Capstans may be mounted as stern capstan, bow capstan, or for spring line handling. The heavy duty capstan is fitted with a H.P./ 3.7 KW, AC or hydraulic motor. All voltages are equipped with overload protected controllers with low voltage circuits for on deck saftey.

Galley Maid Horizontal Anchor Winches consist of a model for practically any size pleasure or work boat. Not all models are available in all power options- typically, the smaller units are DC driven, with medium size units being AC or DC powered, and the larger units being either AC or Hydraulic powered. All AC units can be equipped for either single or three phase application. All Galley Maid Horizontal Winches come with two horizontal shafts and all models ( with exception of the HW-10) have a third vertical shaft. The horizontal shafts can be equipped with virtually any combination of rope capstans or chain wildcats to fit your application. The vertical shaft is always equipped with a rope capstan.
